Organic Whole Grain Einkorn Farro
The oldest because it is considered the first cereal “domesticated” by man, about 10,000 years ago in the Fertile Crescent area. It contains a “fragile” gluten whose protein part is largely destroyed during the digestion process. Whole-grain farro keeps the “film” that surrounds the grain intact. This represents a precious source of dietary fiber and mineral substances which would otherwise be partly lost with the pearling process. Whole grain farro also has the natural ability to soak up cooking water, satiating without having feelings of stomach heaviness. Our whole-grain farro is good in all seasons: perfect for the preparation of soups, stews and fresh salads, it holds up well when cooked and is characterized by an intense flavour that pairs well with delicate vegetables.
